What is Vasoactive?

Vasoactive is a food supplement formulated to control blood pressure in people with hypertension or pre-hypertension.

Hypertension is a chronic pathology which, in turn, leads to numerous cardiovascular diseases. Hypertension is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Vasoactive has been formulated with active ingredients that act through different molecular pathways, whose intake has been shown to be safe and to exert positive effects on variables related to blood pressure.

Properties and composition of Vasoactive:

Pomegranate extract (pomanox®):

It has been investigated for its cardioprotective and antihypertensive effects; it is high in punicalagins. The pomegranate extract used is patented Pomanox® (with a standardised content of up to 30%). 

Pomegranate juice and extract are rich in polyphenols and flavonoids, which have various antioxidant functions and optimise nitric oxide synthesis. As a result, pomegranate extract has antihypertensive effects due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.

Fermented soybean extract (nattokinase):

Fermented soybean extract contains an enzymatic activity of 2000 fibrinolytic units (20,000 UF/g). Fibrin is a protein responsible for the formation of blood clots. It has anti-thrombotic action, helps to reduce the risk of clot formation, helps to improve blood circulation and reduces the risk of heart attacks.

Pine bark extract:

Pine bark extract has antihypertensive effects thanks to the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect of these flavonoids and polyphenols, as does pomegranate extract.

Pomegranate extract acts as an ACE inhibitor (a drug treated for high blood pressure). It helps protect cell structures from oxidative stress, promotes NO synthesis, improves vascular endothelial function and enhances blood perfusion.

Different garlic extracts (dried garlic extract and black garlic extract):

• Dried garlic extract is standardised to 1%-2% allicin and alliin.
• Black garlic extract) has a 1% standardisation of S-allyl-cysteine or SAC (the most abundant antioxidant in black garlic).

Allicin may be responsible for the lipid-lowering and antiplatelet effects associated with the consumption of these extracts, reducing intestinal absorption of cholesterol; and increasing the excretion of bile salts.
