What is Life Pro Wild Ripped?
Wild RIPPED is a food supplement made up of caffeine, p-synephrine green tea extract (citrus aurantium extract) and phenylcapsaicin from the Axivite patent. Its combination will help fat loss by having positive effects such as increased metabolic rate, oxidation of fats, improvement of performance and decreased appetite.
Caffeine:
Caffeine is a xanthine found naturally in the coffee bean, tea, chocolate or guarana. Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system producing improvements in physical and cognitive performance.
It acts as an antagonist of A1 and A2 adenosine receptors, mitigating the fatigue and drowsiness effects of adenosine by inhibiting the decreased release of dopamine and norepinephrine, among other neurotransmitters.
This effect on the nervous system explains the improvement in performance that occurs in both strength and endurance sports after ingesting caffeine. Similarly, supplementing with caffeine could improve muscle contraction through various mechanisms such as potentiation of calcium release from the sarcoplasmic reticulum, improvement in the propagation of nerve impulses or improvement in the exchange of ions in motor units.
In this way, there is an improvement in the force produced by the muscles during sports activity and fatigue is mitigated.
In addition to the physical and cognitive improvement produced by caffeine, its use has been shown to be effective as an aid for fat loss in different studies where effects on metabolism and fatty acid oxidation are found.
Green Tea Extract
Green tea is produced from the leaves of the plant camellia sinensis, which contain different catechins. Among these catechins, there is epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which is the molecule with the greatest activity within this substance.
EGCG has been shown to have a positive effect on oxidation and fat loss, managing to reduce body weight. Various scientific studies have verified that fat oxidation is increased both under rest conditions and with physical exercise after consuming this supplement.
One of the mechanisms proposed for the operation of green tea catechins when it comes to increasing fat oxidation, would be linked to the inhibitory effect of enzymes that degrade catecholamines such as norepinephrine, prolonging thus the release of this through the sympathetic activity of the nervous system. Despite this, other mechanisms have been proposed.
In this sense, changes in the expression of fat metabolism genes that occur when consuming green tea extract has also been proposed as a mechanism that could explain the effects found after consuming this product.
P-synephrine
p-Synephrine is an alkaloid that can be found naturally in the peel of bitter orange, as well as many other plants in the citrus family. This substance is commonly used in sports supplements in order to increase fat oxidation and sports performance.
P-Synephrine, despite being a molecule with a chemical composition and mechanisms similar to ephedrine, unlike it, is a legal and effective product to increase fat oxidation.
P-synephrine, unlike other substances such as ephedrine, has little capacity to stimulate α1, α2, β1 and β2 adrenergic receptors, involved in the regulation of cardiovascular function, thus producing less adrenergic activity. However, the mechanism of action of p-synephrine, in order to suppose an aid in fat loss, is attributed to the lipolytic effect associated with its ability to activate β3 adrenergic receptors. These receptors are found directly in adipose tissue, therefore, p-synephrine exerts its effect directly on adipocytes without being a stimulating substance that can affect the heart.
